The Saketernal Series is based on time-honored methods from the Edo period, using traditional ingredients, and enhancing them further with a modern biotechnology twist.

All four products from the range – including our Radiance Booster Mask, Fresh Balancing Toner, Intensive Hydration Serum, and Glowing Night Gel Mask – utilize sake lees, which have been recognized as a superfood containing peptides, amino acids, yeast, and other nutrients. 

In order to transform sake lees into a skincare super ingredient, EDOBIO has developed its own proprietary techniques, combining them with BiProGE lactobacillus. Following a period of proper fermentation and cultivation, the sake lees are then blended with other botanical ingredients, creating formulas that are deeply moisturizing and nourishing for your skin. 

To add EDOBIO’s products to your routine and experience the benefits for yourself, here is what we recommend:

For the Morning:

• Step One: Following cleansing, apply a thin layer of Saketernal Radiance Booster Mask to the face, avoiding the eyes and mouth area. Allow the product to set and then rinse with lukewarm water until all traces of mask are removed. This step can be incorporated 1-3 times weekly for dry or aging skin types, or more often for oily and combination skin, depending upon your skin’s needs.

• Step Two: Refresh the skin by spraying a bit of Saketernal Fresh Balancing Toner evenly over the entire face, and allowing the product to soak into the skin.
• Step Three: Apply 5-6 drops of Saketernal Intensive Hydration Serum, shaking the bottle first to ensure that ingredients are perfectly mixed. Once product has been absorbed, you may follow with moisturizer, SPF, and/or makeup if desired.
     

For the Evening:

• Step One: Perform a thorough cleanse to remove all daytime products and follow with a light mist of Saketernal Fresh Balancing Toner to replenish the skin and support proper pH levels.
• Step Two: Apply 5-6 drops of Saketernal Intensive Hydration Serum, shaking the bottle first to ensure that ingredients are perfectly mixed. The Serum can be gently patted or massaged into the skin, and can also be applied to the neck area.
• Step Three: Finish with Saketernal Glowing Night Gel Mask, applying a light layer over the top of your serum. Because the product does not require rinsing, it can be used as your evening moisturizer or as an overnight mask, treating the skin to intense hydration while you sleep.
